Most browser extensions that “organise” your AI chats do it by uploading them to a cloud database. That's a privacy risk you probably didn't agree to.

The only things we store on our servers: your email address and a hash of your license key. Read the privacy policy.

How do I install ChatPeer?

Click 'Add to Chrome' above. Chrome will ask you to confirm. The extension activates automatically on claude.ai and chatgpt.com — no setup or login required.

Which platforms does it work on?

Claude (claude.ai) and ChatGPT (chatgpt.com). Both platforms are supported by the same extension.

Where does ChatPeer appear once it's installed?

In three places. A folder tree and your smart tags go into the sidebar, export and bookmark buttons go into the conversation header, and a floating button sits in the corner of the page. That button opens everything — search, bookmarks, prompts, export, settings — from one menu. It's deliberately independent of the rest: if Claude or OpenAI redesigns their sidebar and one of our panels goes missing, the floating button still works.

Does it upload my conversations?

No. ChatPeer builds a full-text index locally in your browser's IndexedDB — the same storage that keeps your bookmarks and offline app data. Conversation content never reaches our servers.

What's free and what costs money?

The free tier includes 2 folders, 2 bookmarks, 2 saved prompts, 5 search results per query, and TXT export. Smart tags, the context meter, the word counter, and all five interface languages are free too. Premium (from $6.99/month or $49 one-time) unlocks unlimited folders, bookmarks and prompts, unlimited search results, Markdown, PDF and JSON export, bulk export, and custom tag rules. Searching Claude and ChatGPT together requires All Access.

Can I use one license on multiple computers?

Yes — up to 3 devices per license. Each device is identified by a randomly generated ID, not your hardware.

Can I search Claude and ChatGPT at the same time?

Yes, with All Access. Press Ctrl+Shift+K from any tab in Chrome — you don't need to be on claude.ai or chatgpt.com — and a search window opens with tabs for each platform showing how many matches each one holds. Both indexes are local, so the search runs entirely on your machine.

What languages does the interface support?

English, Arabic, Spanish, French, and German. You pick the language in the extension's options page and every panel updates immediately — it doesn't follow your Chrome language. Arabic is a genuine right-to-left layout, not a mirrored English one.
